For NZ engineers

Be the engineer AI recommends.

Developers, builders and homeowners now ask ChatGPT to recommend a structural, geotechnical or civil engineer. We show you if it names your business, who it names instead, and exactly what to fix so it names you.

Here's what AI said about one real NZ business.

The questions we test

Your clients are already asking.

These are the kind of questions we put to AI for engineers. For your audit, we agree the questions with you first, so they match the work you want more of.

  • Who are the best geotechnical engineers in Christchurch?
  • Recommend a structural engineer for a house renovation in Nelson.
  • Which civil engineers work on subdivisions in Tauranga?
  • Who does building consent engineering in Dunedin?

What we see when we test

Why good businesses get missed

01

Your page titles get quoted

AI often repeats a business's page title word for word. A clear title that names the service and the town helps.

02

Town names get mixed up

Hamilton, Cambridge and Dunedin all have overseas namesakes. Without clear New Zealand signals, AI can confuse you with someone else.

03

Each AI gives a different answer

A business can be first on one AI and missing from another. Checking just one gives you the wrong picture.

How it works

Three steps to getting recommended.

  1. Step 1

We ask AI about your business

We put the questions your clients ask to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI answers. Each one five times, because AI answers change.

  2. Step 2

    You see where you stand

Who gets named, how often, and which websites AI trusts. Side by side with your competitors.

  3. Step 3

You get a clear fix list

Plain English, ranked by what will make the biggest difference. Do it yourself, or we can do it for you.

No lock-in. No jargon. The audit stands on its own.

Pricing

Clear prices. No lock-in.

The short version

What is an AI Visibility Audit?

An AI Visibility Audit shows whether AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity recommend your business when a prospect asks who to hire. Rove, a New Zealand digital agency, asks those assistants the questions your clients ask, records every answer, compares you with your competitors and gives you a plain-English list of fixes. The Expert AI Visibility Audit costs NZ$1,295 plus GST.

Questions people ask

Our clients are mostly repeat builders and developers. Does AI matter?

New clients still check you out, and project managers increasingly ask AI for a shortlist. The audit shows whether you're on it.

Can you test questions for a specific discipline?

Yes. We agree the buyer questions with you first, so the audit covers the disciplines and regions you want to grow.

What is AI visibility?

It's whether AI assistants name your business when someone asks for a recommendation. If a prospect asks ChatGPT for the best employment lawyer in Wellington, AI visibility is whether your business is in that answer, and how it's described.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO gets you ranked on Google. AI visibility is whether AI assistants name you in their answer. The two overlap, but they're not the same. Plenty of businesses rank well on Google and still don't get named by AI.

Most of our work comes from referrals. Does this matter?

Referrals still count. But people check the name they're given, and more of them ask AI for options before they call anyone. If AI describes you wrongly or names a competitor, you lose that work without ever knowing.

Which AI engines do you test?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, plus Google's AI Mode and AI Overviews.

Why do you ask each question more than once?

AI gives different answers to the same question. Asking each question five times shows how often you're named, not just whether you got lucky once.

What do I get?

A report showing who AI names for your buyer questions, how you compare with your competitors, which websites AI relies on, whether AI can read your own site properly, and a plain-English fix list ranked by impact. We review every report before it reaches you.

How much does it cost?

The Expert AI Visibility Audit is NZ$1,295 plus GST, one-off. Managed Visibility, where we re-test every month, is NZ$349 a month plus GST. Fixes are quoted separately if you want us to do them.

Do you guarantee AI will recommend us?

No. Nobody can honestly promise that. AI answers change and no one controls them. We show you where you stand, what's holding you back and what's most likely to help.

What's the difference between the free mini audit and the full audit?

The free mini audit asks ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity 3 questions your clients ask (like 'who are the best engineers in Christchurch?'), 3 times each. You get a score out of 100, how often each AI named you, and the websites AI relied on, in about 2 minutes. It's free and automated. The full audit (NZ$1,295 + GST) tests up to 8 questions chosen with you, five times each on six AI tools, compares you with your competitors, and gives you a ranked fix list that a person checks before it reaches you.

Your next client is asking AI today. Make sure it says your name.

While AI names someone else, those enquiries go to them. Book your full audit and get a clear plan to become the business AI recommends.
